Once upon a time in the middle of winter, when the flakes of snow were falling like feathers from the sky, a queen sat at a window sewing, and the frame of the window was made of black ebony. And whilst she was sewing and looking out of the window at the snow, she pricked her finger with the needle, and three drops of blood fell upon the snow. And the red looked pretty upon the white snow, and she thought to herself, would that I had a child as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as the wood of the window-frame.

Soon after that she had a little daughter, who was as white as snow, and as red as blood, and her hair was as black as ebony, and she was therefore called little snow-white.

Era una fredda giornata d’inverno; bianchi fiocchi cadevano volteggiando dal cielo come piume leggere e una regina sedeva ricamando accanto alla finestra aperta. Mentre così se ne stava, ricamando e guardando la neve, si punse un dito con l’ago e tre gocce di sangue rosse come rubini caddero sul bianco manto nevoso. Tanta era la bellezza di quelle tre stille rosso fiamma sul bianco immacolato che la regina pensò: “Oh, se potessi avere una bambina dai capelli neri come l’ebano, dalle labbra rosse come il sangue e dalla pelle bianca come la neve!” Poco dopo, diede alla luce una bambina a cui fu dato il nome di Biancaneve.

Every kid has a favorite fairytale in his life, mine is Snow White.
It might be because of my dark hair, or maybe for my white skin, or my red lips… but I always loved her. So once in my life I wanted to dream of it and make someone else dream of it too.

Ogni bambino ha una Favola preferita nella sua vita, la mia è Biancaneve.
Sarà per via dei miei capelli neri, o la pelle bianchissima, o forse per le mie labbra rosse… ma l’ho sempre adorata. Così per una volta ho voluto sognare e far sognare a sua volta qualcun altro con queste foto.

Voglio ringraziare Alessandro, il mio carissimo amico e fotografo, per avermi regalato questi scatti stupendi.
PS: quando ho postato QUESTO e QUEST‘altro post stavo cercando l’abito perfetto per questi scatti.

Sin dalla prima volta che ho visto le sue foto mi sono subito innamorata del suo stile unico e incredibile.
Quando guardo le sue foto, mi sembra che ognuna mi stia raccontando una storia, ogni personaggio mi racconti la sua intera vita.
Questo è Alessandro Cirillo Photography.

The decision to do this post is coming from my heart. He’s such a lovely and sensitive persone, addicted to fashion and to details that only his eyes could catch.
Alessandro is born in Naples, where since he was a child loved to draw, His favourit characters were beautiful women and almost mythologic ones.
At the age of 20 he bought his first digital camera, then a reflex and then a professional one… without wasting further time, he went abroad, going to London and Cornwall; then he went to Bratislava, Vienna and London again, where he learnt a lot about sensitive view comparing himself to new places and diverse cultures , and he met lovely people addicted to photography short movies, and movies where he collaborated at few projects.
I really hope I’ve been able to share with you what I feel when I stare at his pictures, and that you could appreciate him as I do!

Devo dire che la decisione di scrivere questo post su di lui viene dal cuore. E’ una persona amabile e super sensibile, amante della moda e dei dettagli più sottili che sembra solo il suo occhio esperto possa catturare.
Alessandro nasce a Napoli dove sin dalla giovanissima età si è dilettato nell’arte e nel disegno, abilissimo nella rappresentazione di donne stupende, quasi oniriche, e personaggi quasi mitologici.
A vent’anni la prima digitale, poi subito una reflex, poi ancora una reflex di quelle serie, professionali… senza badare a perdite di tempo si è trasferito per due anni all’estero, girando tra Londra e la Cornovaglia; poi è stata la volta di Bratislava,Vienna e poi ancora Londra dove ha potuto approfondire la sua sensibilità visiva stando a contatto con luoghi e colture differenti dalla sua, dove ha conosciuto diverse persone appassionate di short film, film e fotografia dalle quali ha imparato tantissimo e partecipando a diversi progetti che spaziano in ogni campo dell’arte visiva.
Spero che le sue foto riescano a trasmettervi le stesse fantastiche sensazioni che danno a me, e che lo apprezziate quanto sono riuscita a fare io!
